In some Social Behaviour Experiments, it is not necessary to paint the animals (that could affect their behaviour) to detect how many contacts there have been between them.

SMART is able to detect by shape up to 8 animals and analyse precisely the number and duration of the contacts, and mean and minimal distance between the animals during them.

Smart-SS tracks up to 8 subjects in the same arena in two different ways: painting or without painting the animals

The "Contact" is defined by
the user fixing the period
of time that the animals are
closer than a determinate distance.
