Tracking multiple subjects

Besides the tracking of a single subject, SMART also offers the possibility of track 4, 6 or 9 subjects simultaneously, provided they do not interact between them as they are located in one of the regions in which the observation zone is split.

The following are the different shapes of regions to be included in SMART (only the first will be available in the first version):

A single file containing zone-definition for all the regions is used (up to 32 zones are available for each region), in the same way as described for the single regions screen.

Timing of data acquisition in each region is controlled independently, but all of them must use the same timing mode. It is important to note that higher the number of regions, lower is the processing speed, as well as the spatial resolution, as the processing must be shared among the regions.
